Client Service Assistant - Reading

Job title:                      Client Service Assistant
Location:                     Reading
Contracted hours:       40+ per week
Salary:                         Negotiable depending on experience (Circa £20,000 per annum OTE, plus benefits package.

Project Resource is a vibrant and rewarding recruitment business.  We supply to the building, civil engineering, rail and infrastructure industries.  We have a strong presence, reputation and service offering, providing consultative advice and high calibre contract and permanent solutions to employers, across senior technical, middle and senior management positions.  Established in September 2002 we have seen extensive growth and are looking to continue this development.

As a result of our continued growth and the development of our business, we are now seeking to appoint an experienced Client Service Assistant to join our team.  You will work closely with our Client Services Manager. 

Integral to the job will be to successfully support, manage, develop and grow our relationships and volumes of business with our core customers (existing and new).  Project Resource Ltd has several very exciting growth opportunities that require dedicated management.

This job will have key performance indicators (KPIs).  It is expected that key account/s will be developed to maintain our company’s growth and our name as a premier supplier of staff to employers in the industries we deliver.

This job will report directly into the Client Service Manager.  You will have the support of our Managers’ and Company Directors’ and from a recruitment service delivery perspective the whole company resourcing capability.

Initially, you will be responsible for supporting the Client Service Manager overseeing several key regional customer relationships (more as time, experience, and team ability and size warrant); ensuring customers’ expectations and recruitment specific SLA’s are met (exceeded), whilst simultaneously maintaining the integrity of the Project Resource Ltd as a well respected premier brand.

You will work closely with the team (company wide) to co-ordinate and manage that customer Service Level Agreements are delivered, and where necessary positive report statements are produced to place the company in best light.  You will also be responsible for building and managing employer relationships, attending and directing meetings, reporting results to the client and ensuring delivery is met on recruitment needs, by our recruitment team. 

This role is to develop existing accounts’ and open new business accounts’, with the longer term capacity to include team growth as your workload requires.

Responsibilities

  • To work within our existing team, establish a solid working framework for optimum delivery to our clients’, and help ensure best return for all parties;
  • Work closely with our team to explore business opportunities with our existing and new clients;
  • Focus on customer service, ensuring that our team are working as professional and a s thorough as possible;
  • Look to generate new business from existing clients’;
  • Ensure compliance with all internal procedures/ processes, external regulations and legislation;
  • Take ownership and liaise with your line Manager, to ensure constructive personal development;
  • Assist with the coaching and development of colleagues where required; and
  • Maintain comprehensive and current knowledge of your clients, market and key commercial trends.

Essential experience required

  • Experience working as either a Recruitment Consultant or Account Manager/ Account Handler/ Business Development Consultant;
  • Proven experience of account management, development, and increased profitability;
  • Delivering to large, medium and small companies; recognising the key deliverables, providing clear communication, and becoming a supplier of choice/ preference;
  • Demonstration of successfully delivering to a client (achieving repeat business, growth in placements made and profit obtained and repeat selection for PSL supply year on year);
  • Experience of generating your own leads (via networking, client relationship development, etc.) and job opportunities;
  • Experience of performance reporting (internal & external) and putting feedback to the relevant people to better performance;
  • Experience of training, developing and managing a successful team.
  • Professional disposition, articulate, high attention to detail and exemplary customer service approach;
  • Outgoing, friendly, focussed and hard working;
  • Sensible, with clear life goals, career minded and completely success motivated;
  • The ability to be self critical; and
  • Ability to demonstrate achievement beyond your peer group.

Desirable experience required

  • Exposure one or some of the following industries: Building, Civil Engineering, Railway or Infrastructure (Highways, Water and Energy);
  • Experience of supplying into the industries we specialise; and
  • Good face-to-face ability and experience.
